About Prairie Inn

Believed to be around since the late 1800s, Prairie Inn has a lot of history. Whether it be a local store, ice cream parlor, or your favorite hometown bar, it has always been the heart of Prairietown. Although the interior no longer has newspaper insulation, the space hasn’t lost the old-timey tavern’s feel, as you can tell from the original bar-top believed to be put in around 1949. If air-conditioning is your preference, there are plenty of televisions, gaming machines and dining room seating inside. If you like to sit outside and feel the summer breeze, our patio is large enough to accommodate a party of any size (although it is first come, first serve). The current owner has put in a huge stage that features music every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There is seating at the concrete bar that was built in 2019, as well as covered seating for 20 tables! If you’re feeling a little competitive we also offer cornhole upon request. Open 7 days a week. Patio is open all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday; opens at 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday! Patio heated during the winter so you can enjoy our $8 for 6 Bucket specials and live music year-round! Come on out to eat, drink and boogie-down with us!
